Sustaining: a way of Life

Sustaining coherence as a way of life is a subtle art: listening with the soul, inhabiting presence, and accompanying with compassion and clarity. In Resonance Repatterning, we refine this inner pulse. In doing so, we weave meaning, order, and understanding, revealing a more intimate, conscious, and loving relationship with ourselves and the world.

Sustaining: a Way of Life

Dear readers, in this edition, I would like to speak about what happens after learning, integrating, and consolidating a practice: sustaining.

Those of us who have walked the path of Resonance Repatterning® know that studying, understanding, and practicing are not the final point. Over time, everything we have learned is put to the test in our daily lives: in each session with ourselves and with others, in every decision, and in every space where we choose to be present.

In this sense, there are those who feel the call to go deeper, to explore new dimensions of the method through more advanced processes, or even to share it through teaching within the official channels of the Institute, which safeguards and continues the original teaching of Chloe Faith Wordsworth, ensuring the integrity of the system when transmitting through this teaching. Others, on the other hand, choose to integrate it in a more personal way into their lives.

Whatever path each practitioner chooses, it implies a level of commitment to oneself and to the coherence that is gradually acquired over practice.

It is precisely in this ongoing process of growth, regardless of how far one chooses to go, that coherence is not just a concept anymore. It becomes a way of living.

Sustaining the practice of Resonance Repatterning®, from my experience, means to remain connected to its fundamental values. It is about continuing to refine listening, presence, compassionate support, and clarity. At the same time, as human beings, is to build coherence each time giving more sense to our life through order, clarity and by comprehension of ourselves and the world.

Sustaining also means integrating the method into life itself, allowing it to move from something we “do” to something we “are”, and at the same time, humbly acknowledging that we are still in process; that there are always new layers to understand, aspects to integrate, and personal spaces that require attention. For this reason, in supporting others, we also need to be supported.

It is within this acknowledgement that the Resonance Repatterning practice becomes more human, more real, and sustainable over time.

Sustaining means remaining connected to the method, to the community, and to the spaces that allow us to continue refining our coherence. For this reason, at RRII we provide different spaces to connect, to remain in relationship, and to sustain one another in community. Spaces where we can share, support one another, learn, and continue refining our practice, within a structure that safeguards the essence and continuity of the system giving more sense to our lives.

We are convinced that when we choose to remain present in our own process, we strengthen not only our practice, but also the fabric that sustains our entire community.

Sustaining means continuing to choose, consciously, the path we have decided to walk.

We wholeheartedly thank you for walking the path with us in a sustained way. Let’s meet along the path, in the Institute’s spaces of connection, and in the next edition

Supportive Communication: Assertiveness Through Coherence

How to communicate boundaries, messages, and decisions from authenticity and energetic well-being.

Communication is not only about sharing information, it is about creating a space where a message can be received without tension, confusion, or emotional strain. In professional, therapeutic, and personal contexts, many challenges arise not from what is said, but from how it is said and from where it is spoken.

Supportive communication is born from inner coherence. It neither invades nor withdraws, neither imposes nor dissolves. Assertiveness, when viewed through a conscious lens, is not rigidity or control — it is clarity with respect, firmness with humanity.

When we communicate from coherence, our boundaries do not require excessive justification. They are expressed calmly because they are aligned with what we feel, think, and do. This type of communication cares for our own energy while also honoring the energy of others, creating more stable and honest relationships.

Assertive communication involves:

• Recognizing what is true for you in the present moment.
• Expressing needs without guilt or aggression.
• Listening without losing yourself in the process.

Coherence acts as an energetic regulator. It prevents communication from becoming an emotional burden or a constant source of exhaustion. When there is internal alignment, words find their natural tone, and silence also gains meaning.

May invites us to revisit how we communicate our decisions, our timing, and our limits. To notice whether we speak from fear of rejection or from trust in our truth. Because sustaining a clear communication does not break connections. On the contrary, it strengthens them by making them more real.

Supportive communication does not aim to please everyone. It seeks to be honest, clear, and respectful. And when it is built from coherence, it becomes an act of self-care and relational responsibility. Saying what needs to be said, at the right moment and with the right energy, is also a form of service.

SHARE YOUR ABUNDANCE FROM YOUR EARTH IN BALANCE

It is a pleasure to greet you all and share this May Focus.

As the Earth moves along its orbit, it now carries us into a transition between summer and autumn—the season of Earth. It is a time of harvest: of ripe grapes that will become the finest wine, reflecting the sun upon the terroir, the altitude where they were born, grown, and matured. Once gathered, they merge into a rich must that will transform into a delicious elixir, carrying the wine’s flavors and qualities to be shared and enjoyed. This is Earth’s highest expression: to nourish and to give in abundance.

If you haven´t learned about the qualities of the Fire element, you can go to our April edition here (insertar porfa un hipervínculo al Focus de abril)

Let us learn from the Earth’s remarkable energy of nourishment and abundance—an energy that, in sharing itself, continues to be replenished and receives all it needs to sustain the dynamic balance of yin and yang in their fullest expression.

EARTH

One of the Earth’s most frequently mentioned qualities is its archetypal mother energy—the ever-present force that nourishes, cares for, and selflessly meets your needs. The Earth also abundantly provides through what it yields—plants, fruits, and more—offering a sense of safety, stability, and support. Through this energy, the Earth allows you to remain centered, in touch with your body and your capacity to feel, fostering a continuous sense of being safe, held, and cared for.

In Chinese cosmology, Earth is not merely a setting but the living expression of Yin and Yang in continuous transformation. It embodies the Four Phenomena—Yang within Yin, Yang within Yang, Yin within Yang, and Yin within Yin—revealing the subtle interplay that underlies all natural cycles.

Within the Five Elements system, Earth holds the central position, stabilizing and harmonizing the forces of Wood (East), Fire (South), Metal (West), and Water (North). As the “mother” element, it nourishes and supports all others, sustaining life through its balanced presence.

This dynamic is mirrored in the seasons, particularly in the transitional phase of late summer, when Earth’s qualities are most evident. Ultimately, Earth teaches that nothing is purely Yin or Yang, but rather an ever-evolving balance of both.

The following table shows some of the general characteristics of the Earth element:

EARTH

PLANET SATURN
YANG EARTH WU
YIN EARTH JI
CELESTIAL CREATURE YELLOW DRAGON
SEASON TRANSITIONS – LATE SUMMER
FOUR PHENOMENA CENTER: CONTAINS AND SUSTAINS THE FOUR PHENOMENA
COMPASS DIRECTION CENTER
QI HUMIDITY – COLD DEW
COLOR YELLOW
YIN (ZANG) ORGANS SPLEEN
YANG (FU) ORGANS STOMACH

Everything begins from and returns to the center. In balance, Earth supports you when you give generously and support others, while also receiving nourishment and connection—even in challenging situations. Earth sustains you. You maintain inner peace, stay centered, and at the same time attend to the needs of others, with the capacity to look outward as well.

When out of balance, Earth can feel overwhelmed by change and transition, losing its center. When it does not share or cultivate relationships, it becomes barren. When it gives endlessly without receiving nourishment in return, it loses its sense of purpose and vitality. Earth’s balance lies in the reciprocity of giving and receiving – rooted in its center – where it both gives and receives, nourishing itself in the process.

WU  – YANG EARTH

Key Traits of Wu (Yang Earth)

Wu Earth is symbolized by a mountain—solid, stable, and enduring. Individuals with this Day Master are trustworthy, loyal, and dependable, often serving as the foundation within families or organizations. They are practical, fair-minded, and sincere, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity. Their steady nature inspires confidence in others, and they are valued as confidantes who can keep secrets. They are independent and self-sufficient. They move slowly but with consistency, prioritizing strong foundations before they commit. They are protective, nurturing, and grounded in reality, often demonstrating quiet strength and resilience. Their protective and consistent nature allows them to have long-term relationships and stable growth.

Challenges of Wu (Yang Earth)

The same stability that defines Wu Earth can turn into rigidity and stubbornness, creating resistance to change. In this resistance, they may show little flexibility and a strong attachment to their own ideas. This can lead to missed opportunities, procrastination, or complacency due to slow decision-making.

Despite their firmness, they may also display inconsistency, becoming influenced by external opinions or acting from emotional impulses, which can result in illogical decisions. Their learning process is often slow, requiring multiple experiences to integrate lessons.

Socially, they may appear reserved, emotionally inaccessible, or not very expressive. Their lack of flexibility can affect relationships, leading to monotonous lifestyles due to difficulty in adapting to changing environments. They may also tend toward excessive worry, repetitive thinking, and difficulty adjusting to sudden change.

Conclusions

Wu Earth embodies the strength of stillness, resilience, and the power of reliability. These individuals offer stability, protection, and long-term support, becoming foundational pillars in any environment. Their evolution lies in developing flexibility, emotional clarity, adaptability, openness, and decisiveness while sustaining others.

When they balance their natural firmness with greater fluidity, flexibility, and awareness, they reach their highest potential: moving from being immovable mountains to becoming solid yet dynamic forces—conscious and grounded, capable of sustaining both stability and transformation, and of navigating change with wisdom and intention.

JI – YIN EARTH

Ji Earth is the sixth of the Ten Heavenly Stems in the Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) system and represents the Yin aspect of the Earth element

Key Traits of Ji (Yin Earth)

Ji Earth is symbolized as fertile soil: soft, nourishing, receptive, and productive. As sustaining ground, it creates optimal conditions for growth. These individuals are kind, patient, and trustworthy, with a natural ability to support the growth of others. They often place the well-being of others before their own. They are consistently supportive and are also highly resourceful, with a remarkable and natural ability to help others develop and succeed.

They are versatile, adaptable, and quick learners, enabling them to respond effectively to changing situations. They possess strong intuition and live in alignment with their principles, guided by solid values, integrity, and a clear sense of right and wrong. They tend to be understanding, tolerant, and inclined to see the best in others. They have a strong memory, clear values, and a well-defined moral compass. Their flexible and collaborative nature allows them to adjust easily to different circumstances, while also fostering trust and approachability within their groups and communities.

Challenges of Ji (Yin Earth)

Despite their adaptability, Ji individuals may display indecision and inconsistency. They may struggle with focus, act impulsively, or compromise too easily due to their generosity and constant support, which can lead others to take advantage of their goodwill. Their emotional complexity can generate internal contradictions, as well as difficulty managing stress or making quick decisions. This can result in commitments that do not serve their best interests.

Their emotional depth may manifest as inner conflict, self-doubt, or a lack of confidence in their abilities and talents. Their tendency to absorb too much—whether responsibilities or emotions—driven by attachment or ambition, can lead to overwhelm, diminishing both mental and emotional clarity, and creating difficulty in maintaining healthy boundaries.

Conclusions

Ji Earth represents the power to nurture, sustain, and generate growth in a quiet yet consistent way. These individuals are essential in cultivating development, creating stability, and maintaining coherence in both individuals and systems. Their evolution lies in strengthening self-trust, boundaries, emotional and mental clarity, and decisiveness.

When balanced, Ji Earth becomes a highly refined and effective force—capable of transforming resources into meaningful outcomes with emotional depth, resilience, and integrity. In doing so, they sustain life and foster deep, sensitive, and wise growth within themselves and others.

In our June issue, we will learn about the yin and yang qualities of the Metal element.

Till next month!

Special Note: The description of the Five Elements’ qualities presented here is based solely on the Day Master (Day Pillar). Its purpose is to deepen understanding of each element, but it is not a complete BaZi reading at all. A full analysis requires consideration of the entire chart and should be conducted by a qualified expert in this complex and ancient art.
